About

Commercial photography with a real center of gravity.

I’m Michael Mejia, a commercial photographer working across sports, fashion, people, process, and curated reality. I’m most interested in photographs that feel elevated without feeling fake, and precise without losing the thing that made them worth photographing in the first place.

My work is rooted in real people, real process, and real environments. That is usually where the image gets its authority. It is also where a brand, a subject, or a place starts to feel specific instead of interchangeable.

Curated Reality is the philosophy underneath all of it. Not documentary for its own sake, and not overproduced fiction either. Just enough control to make the frame land without draining it of life.

I work with brands, agencies, editors, and producers who need imagery that is commercially precise, editorially credible, and built to hold up beyond a single layout or campaign moment.

Available for commissions across cities, with a working rhythm that adapts well to agency teams, editorial assignments, and location-based production.

How I Work

Clear point of view. Clean execution.

Commercially precise

The image has to do its job. It needs structure, clarity, and enough specificity to live across campaigns, editorial placements, brand systems, and print without falling apart.

Editorially credible

I care about taste, restraint, rhythm, and what the frame includes or leaves out. The work should feel considered, not assembled from generic photography habits.

Rooted in reality

Real people, real process, real movement, real environments. That is where the work gets its texture, its authority, and most of its staying power.
